Former Chicago Alderman Ambrosio Medrano is now a two-time convict.
A jury found the 59-year-old Medrano guilty of conspiring to pay a bribe. Medrano showed no reaction when the verdict was read after a two-week trial.
He and two others caught in an FBI sting and convicted of trying to bribe a California official to land a contract.
Medrano faces up to five years behind bars.
He was ensnared in the federal operation Silver Shovel sting in 1996 and convicted of taking a bribe.
