Corruption trial begins Stroger’s former chief of staff
The corruption trial of a top aide to former Cook County board president Todd Stroger got underway Monday.
Carla Oglesby, 44, was Stroger’s Deputy Chief of Staff.
She’s accused of steering more than a dozen contracts worth more than $300,000 to herself and others who did no work.
Stroger and his former media spokesman, Eugene Mullins, are listed as potential witnesses in the case, but it’s not clear if either will testify.
