A Chicago Woman Who spent 7 years in prison for murder is free Monday – and free for good.

Nicole Harris was convicted in the 2005 death of her 4-year-old son Jaquari Dancy.

She maintained the boy died accidentally and she only confessed after 27 hours of questioning by police.

The circuit court of appeals tossed out her conviction in October 2012, ans she has been out of prison since February – but the threat of a retrial hung over her.

Harris got the word Monday morning that Cook County prosecutors dismissed her conviction with no plans to retry her.

The appeals court ruled it was wrong to bar her 6-year-old’s testimony which was that his little brother accidentally choked himself with a bed sheet.
