Soon, people in many Chicago neighborhoods will no longer have to pay for parking on Sundays.
Many of the wards south of the Eisenhower Expressway will see free Sunday parking, starting Sunday.
The city says the switch will be complete by July 1st.
Free Sundays will not apply to meters in the central business district downtown.
Also, as part of the agreement with the company that leases the meters, Chicagoans will have to pay for parking later into the evening at many locations across the city.
