Roughly 130 Illinois Army National Guard soldiers return home Saturday morning, after serving with Special Forces in Afghanistan.

The 933rd Military Police Company deployed in August of last year.

They earned dozens of commendations, including six Bronze Stars.

10 of those soldiers will get to see their newborn children for the first time.

The unit commander says the deployment was a success thanks to the soldiers’ selfless service.
