1 dead, several injured in Louisiana chemical plant explosion
An explosion at a chemical plant in Louisiana has killed one person, and injured at least eight others.
Officials say a truck unloading nitrogen caused the blast at CF Industries in Donaldsonville after workers attempted to pump too much of the nitrogen into a container, which ruptured.
The plant manager stressed that there was no fire and no release of chemicals.
This follows an explosion Thursday at a plant in Geismar, LA which killed two people.
