Drunk boater who fatally struck boy sentenced to 10 years

A Bartlett man who was driving a speedboat and killed a boy in Lake County was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

BoatingAccidentDavid Hatyina, 51, sobbed Friday as he spoke on his own behalf at the sentencing hearing.

He plead guilty to aggravated DUI in April for drinking and ingesting a small amount of cocaine before driving his boat.

He struck 10-year-old Tony Borcia last summer on Petite Lake near Lake Villa.

    A boy loses his life a family loses a son and all this LOSER gets is 10 years? Disgusting.
