Two men were killed and at least 10 other people were injured in shootings across Chicago since Tuesday night.
Police say three people approached a 42-year-old man in a gangway about 2:20 a.m., and at least one of them opened fire.
The man was struck multiple times and pronounced dead shortly after at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Earlier, about 10 p.m., a 35-year-old man was shot multiple times after an argument in the 900 block of North Long Avenue.
Police say the man fled partway down the street before collapsing. He was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
