Chicago is expected to be on the northern edge of a potentially significant outbreak of severe weather tomorrow.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will be concentrated along and south of a stationary front projected to be over northern Illinois late tonight and tomorrow. The main severe weather threat will be damaging straight-line winds and large hail. Locally heavy rain in excess of two inches is also possible.
Chicago temperatures are to take quite a hit Thursday as strong northeast winds take up residence, lowering shoreline temps to the low 60s while inland areas struggle to reach the low 70s.
