Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick have agreed on friendly Stanley Cup wager.
The governor of the losing team’s state will volunteer at the food bank of the winning governor’s choice.
So, if the Chicago Blackhawks win, Patrick will volunteer at the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
If the Bruins win, Quinn will volunteer at the Greater Boston Food Bank.
“Governor Patrick is skating on thin ice by betting against the mighty Chicago Blackhawks,” Quinn said.
The Blackhawks have won four Stanley Cup championships. The Bruins have won the cup six times, most recently in 2011.
The first game in the series in Wednesday night at the United Center.
