A 13-year old boy arrives in Chicago this afternoon for a surgery that will change his life.
Qossay Suleiman was born in the west bank of the Middle East with clubfoot condition affecting both his feet and making it impossible for him to walk normally, play or run.
The condition forced him to quit school by fourth grade.
His father earns about $90 a week as a cab driver and can’t afford the $70,000 operation.
But thanks to doctors at Shriners Hospitals for children and private contributions, Qossay will undergo the surgery for free.
His first appointment is Monday.
