DNA: Wrong baby returned to parents
FBI agents are expected to decide in a few days if they’ll re-open an unbelievable kidnapping case.
It dates back to April 27, 1964. A woman disguised as a nurse took a newborn boy from Michael Reese Hospital and vanished. Then on July 2, 1965, a boy who looked like the stolen baby was found abandoned outside a variety store in Newark, New Jersey.
There were no DNA or fingerprinting tests back then. Investigators suggested the case was solved, and the boy was returned to the Franczaks, of Oak Lawn.
But, 49 year-old Paul Fronczak and his parents took DNA tests in October, and discovered they didn’t match.
He says he wants to find the “real Paul,” and also discover who he really is.
