Zachary Fardon isn’t even on the job yet,  but Illinois’ two U.S. senators already want him to get busy.

Senators Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk met with the Chicago area’s nominee for U.S. Attorney Wednesday.

Durbin and Kirk say they want Fardon to go after the gang and gun violence that have plagued Chicago and kept its murder high.

Kirk says he wants authorities to take down the Gangster Disciples which would entail arresting about 18,000 people.

The senators recommended Fardon to become the next U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, and last week President Obama formally nominated him.

If 18,000 gang members were arrested what would we do with them? If they were all put in one prison where they could all communicate with one another, they would become stronger….and we surely can't afford 18,000 prisons. Suggestion: Gladiator events where they could battle each other to the death!

I say let all of Chicago's finest, Yuppies and aging baby Boomers, do what they do best…clean house. In their posh sky boxes at various sporting contests that is.

? Are the Gangsters Disciples the only gang in Chicago & what is the city doing to encourage growth in these communities to me it seems the city is looking for a scapegoat to pend their problems on they have hired thousands of police officers to combat this problem also locked all of the gang leaders but still have been unsuccessful they need to build relationships with the community so people feel safer

Whatever plan you have, the gangsters will use social media to navigate around you. If you want this to work you better leave no stone unturned- permanently..

Why not hold the government responsible? They allow certain people to gangbang on tv all the time.. What are they doing about that? I think its time the nation calls for an overhaul of all gangs instead of one in particular. Why not? That would be the only way to make it safe. Stop the violence and respect eachother. Why kill eachother when we can help build safer communities for our children to grow up in? Not all people who are gang affliated agree with violence. Everyone needs to know that not only will it take a community but it will take a nation to stop the violence.
