Slide collapse sends 6 children to hospitals

Six children from Algonquin Lakes Elementary School suffered very minor injuries Thursday when a giant inflatable slide collapsed at their school.

Weather forced today’s scheduled field day indoors,  along with the 15-foot-high slide and inflatable “bounce house.”  It is unclear if the injured were on the slide or near the slide as it toppled.

The slide was provided by a private vendor.  The cause of the accident is under investigation.

    Based on that picture, it was not tied down, of course it's hard to pound stakes into the Gym floor…
