A much cooler and slightly damp day on tap across Chicagoland.
Light showers and drizzle are likely this morning as colder air moves into the region. Strong north winds gusting 35-40 mph will help keep temperatures down as we spend the day in the 50s.
The clouds should decrease this afternoon and our skies will be clear overnight. As winds die down our temperatures will fall with lows Friday morning expected near 40 degrees.
Sunshine returns on Friday, but temperatures will stay below average. Highs are expected to reach the low to mid-60s inland, while temperatures stay in the 50s near the lake.
