Hundreds of Chicago teachers and parents will hit the streets again today for day two of a three-day march in protest of proposed school closings.

ctuThe march began on Chicago’s South and West Sides yesterday.

They walked past schools that are slated to be closed.

It will end at Daley Plaza tomorrow, where protesters will give Mayor Emanuel thousands of petitions calling for a moratorium on the closures.

The CPS says it’s closing under-utilized and under performing schools.

The school board will vote on the plan Wednesday.

Simply a waste of time, and a reason for publicity…King Rahm has spoken – and the deal is signed, sealed and nearly delivered.
If there are any changes – my thought is that they were built into the King's plan – to make the people THINK that what they said or felt made a difference~Com'n folks – King appoints school board= in the pocket $$$ – – – Mayor hires/appoints BBBennett = in the pocket $$$. These non-thinkers are all interested in what THEY or their $$$ will gain – The writing is on the wall and it's signed by the King and his 'ring-kissers'~

The city & state are broke and functioning in a deficit. The Teacher's Union strike for more money, get it, and then do not understand why schools are being closed so they protest that as well? My parents don't have any children in public school yet pay in for this…it's a slap in the face to the taxpayer, and a true show of the selfishness at the core of the union. Shame on you all.

What else can you demand that is not there.
