Man to attempt Ferris wheel record at Navy Pier

If you go to Navy Pier this weekend, you might see a man who won’t get off the ferris wheel.

Navy Pier operations manager Clinton Shepherd plans on riding the Ferris wheel from 2:30 Friday afternoon until 2:30 Sunday afternoon.

The planned 48-hour ride would shatter the current world record of 30 hours and 35 seconds.

A fireworks display will mark the moment, if Shepherd breaks the record.

What would stop 99.9% of us from doing the same is the price to ride this thing, the tourist trap prices for food and a gizillion dollars to park the car down at that dump.
