Police officers warned of deadly gang mission

The Cook County Sheriff’s Department issued a warning to area officers about an apparent police hit list.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the Sheriff’s Intelligence Center got information at the Cook County Jail that a street gang was forming an assassination team.

Sheriff Tom Dart says leaders of the Satan Disciples called for the formation of the so-called “Guerilla Mafia Cartel”, with the specific purpose of killing a law enforcement officer.

Dart alerted the Chicago Police Department and FBI.
