A woman has been charged with the murder of her husband from 34 years ago.
Jacquelyn Greco was arrested in Michigan back in March.
She is currently being held without bond in Cook County.
Greco is accused of hiring two hit men to go into her home in Northwest suburban Inverness in 1979.
She and her children were tied up, while her husband was shot and killed.
Two years ago, investigators re-opened the case.
Prosecutors say Greco wanted her husband dead, so she could keep his money.
The gunmen were never arrested.
Greco’s children insist that prosecutors have settled on the wrong person.
They are seeking to raise money for her defense.
WGN-TV’s Marcella Raymond spoke with the victim’s brother, Mike Gaimari and asked him how he felt about Greco’s arrest.
Gaimari said “I’m shocked. I’m shocked that it came to this and it’s her.”
