Fire crews battle blaze on Northwest Side

Firefighters battled a fire Wednesday morning in the Logan Square neighborhood.

The fire broke out about 5:45 a.m. at 1711 N. Kimball, and fire officials promptly called a still-and-box response.

Fire crews brought the fire under control at the building where it started, but flames quickly spread to the neighboring house.

Firefighters remain at the scene of the neighboring house, 1709 N. Kimball, where the roof caved in.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire has been struck.
