Carnival worker sentenced to 41 years for sexually assaulting children
A carnival worker who videotaped his repeated sexual assaults on two children was sentenced to 41 years in prison.
29-year-old Wilfredo Elias, of Chicago, plead guilty to charges including predatory criminal sexual assault today.
According to a statement from the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office, the assaults occurred multiple times in 2011 when Elias was babysitting the 2-year-old and 3-year-old.
According to prosecutors, Elias had video recorded several of the sexual assaults and stored the images on an electronic memory storage device. Authorities began investigating when the images were discovered by a family member and the police were contacted.
Elias was arrested in September in Missouri while traveling with a carnival.
