Officials warn Glencoe pet owners after coyote attack

PoliceLights400x225Authorities in North suburban Glencoe are looking for a den of coyotes, after two Maltese dogs were attacked just a few days apart.

The incidents happened on April 28 in the 400 block of Lakeside Terrace and May 1 in the 500 block of Sheridan Road.

Both dogs were hospitalized after the attacks.

One is back home, the other is still recovering.

Animal control officials are searching for coyote trails along the lake and in the nearby bluff.

They’re warning pet owners to be on alert.
