Woman sexually assaulted while at Edgewater bus stop

Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a young woman in broad daylight as she waited for a bus on the city’s far North Side. edgewaterbusstopassault

It happened at 2 p.m. Thursday at a bus stop in the 6300 block of North Clark Street, in the Edgewater neighborhood.

Investigators say the man sat down next to the 22-year-old victim at the bus stop , and then grabbed her and took her to a nearby alley where he sexually assaulted her and stole a credit card.

The woman went to the hospital.

Police have made no arrests.

      I live in this neighborhood take that Clark bus and I gotta tell you that is an extremely busy intersection at all times. I just find it hard to believe no one saw a 300lb black man dragging a young white woman for 2 blocks. I hate to say this but somethings not right about this story. This was at 2pm likely to have highschool kids near that area at that time. Forced or grabbed by a 5ft 8in 300lb black man, you don't scream even after he left not to mention the police station is about 3 blocks east on Clark. Could there be a reason why the police waited four days later to post a picture it seems to me they only did this after the mother appeared on tv stating the police were doing nothing. Just my opinion here…
