Chicago to launch ‘Divvy’ bike sharing program

The Chicago Department of Transportation will launch a new bike sharing program later this spring.

The Divvy program will make bikes available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year.

Bikes can be picked up and returned at Divvy stations located near schools, shopping districts, transit stations and other locations.

Users can buy $75 yearly memberships, or $7 daily passes.

The specially designed, heavy duty Divvy bikes will be comfortable for all users.

They’ll be painted “Chicago blue,” the same shade of blue on the city flag.
