Woman seeking parole after her 396th arrest

A Chicago parole board may help out a repeat offender.

51-year-old Shermain Miles has been arrested 396 times in Chicago since 1978. She’s currently in prison for violating parole.

The Sun-Times reports that Miles begged the parole board for another chance at freedom yesterday.

She just might get it.

Board Chairman Adam Monreal told her that he plans to talk to a judge about putting her into a program that requires intense supervision.

Miles replied, “Praise God!”

The Prison Review Board could also keep her locked up until her parole expires in November.

Those agencies sit on their hands, do the bare minimum to get government money and cry we don't have the resources when they screw up. Keep her in jail, where she can get some more religion.

Just think about how much money this typical piece of garbage has cost the tax payers. All of the man hours of arresting her, the court costs, the 38k a year that tax payers had to pay to house her in jail, and the government benefits that she was on while she wasn't in prision. She should be sentenced to hard labor to pay off her debt to society. The economy is still bad, people are still out of work, and we have to pay for these prision/welfare leaches? It disgusts me.

Lock her up for life. I don’t want that pathetic waste of life being a member of society. Anyone that gets arrested that much doesn’t deserve to have the same freedoms and privileges of law abiding citizens.
