Youngest Boston bombing victim, MIT officer laid to rest

Eight-year-old Martin Richard was laid to rest Tuesday during a private funeral. A public memorial is also being planned.

The day’s other funeral– MIT Officer Sean Collier. The 24-year-old was allegedly gunned down last Thursday night by the bombing suspects. Friends and family turned out for that service.

MIT officials will hold their own public memorial Wednesday on the campus. Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to attend the memorial.

A fund setup for the bombing victims has raised $20 million so far.
