* The Rangers are allowing just over 2.50 runs per game in April (2.54). That would be their lowest since moving to Texas in 1972.

* The Cubs have struck out 107 times through their first 13 games – tied for the most since 1921.

* Carlos Villanueva averaged over three more strikeouts per nine innings last season than the year prior.
