Don't be so ignorant. You obviously haven't met him. He was elected because as Alderman he helped get Des Plaines budget back in the black with money in the bank. He's a positive, high energy young man and I predict a big future for him, whether he stays in politics or not. As long as he does I'll keep voting for him. If this country had more energetic, optimistic and honest politicians we wouldn't be in the pickle we're in now.

We in Des Plaines are lucky to have him. I look forward to a better city. We tried leadership with an arrogant know it all when Arredia was mayor and the city nearly went bankrupt because of Metropolitan Square, which Arredia did. Bogusz, as Alderman, helped Des Plaines get back in the black instead of the red and things are looking good for Des Plaines. Bogusz also got a project funded to solve the groundwater issues in the 8th ward. Smart voters in Des Plaines did the right thing.

Living in Matt Bogusz's ward while he was alderman, I can tell you that he does everything that he says he will do. I had a couple of issues that needed to be addressed, and within an hour, he was emailing me with resolution to my issues. He is also the only alderman that I am aware of that held monthly ward meetings. Say what you want about him, but obviously, the people here that bad mouths him have no idea who he is and what he is capable of doing. Too many people get hung up on his age. Really, who cares! Our former Mayor Arredia should be a fine example of how age has nothing to do with how to effectively run a city because he effectively continued to run it in the ground like previous "older" mayors.
