One man was killed and two others injured after two semis collided on I-80 at Houbolt Road in Joliet, Wednesday morning.
State police said a truck-tractor was pulling a trailer on the ramp from Houbolt Road west onto I-80 when it was struck by another truck that was traveling west on I-80.
A man inside one of the trucks died.
Both of the surviving victims were treated and released at the scene.
Westbound Interstate 80 remained blocked at Houbolt as of 8:30 a.m. with a crash investigation.
Authorities diverted all westbound traffic on the interstate at Larkin Avenue.
Eastbound lanes on I-80 were not affected.
