Bond has been denied for 17-year-old Javier Garza.

He is charged with the murder of a 14-year-old boy who was killed Sunday in the heart of the Pilsen neighborhood.

Damien Garza is in jail on $1 million bond.

He is accused of being the getaway driver.

Prosecutors say Javier Garza opened fire on a group of teenagers in rival gang territory near 22nd and Leavitt to avenge his father’s death 12 years ago.

His mother tells the Tribune that doesn’t make sense.

Garza’s father was killed in a different neighborhood.

Amen! Agree with you 100%. Being in a gang just shows that you're a coward, that you can't stand on your own two feet. You have to hide behind lies and deceit of " members " saying to you that you're protected if you run with us and show our colors. Unfortunately when you grow up in parts of the city that is all you know… still ghetto trash.

how is it that people judge others?throw the first stone if you are without sin!instead of reaching out to Gods children they are condemed by others , by whose authority?not Gods .judge and you shall be judged.i lived that life ,being the devils slave but i found Jesus ive devoted myself to help those lost sheep find the narrow path.without God we cant do anything.

Lets give them a hug and cuddle them. I am sure they had a rough life growing up, Right!

Before you put them in prison, let them register their guns, Right!

Our taxes will pay 4Million each for their lifetime in prison. WE pay, Right!

Cops work 8 hour shifts with an hour lunch. Plus all their brakes. We get about 3 1/2 hours of policing each shift, Right!

When will America do the Right Thing!

I'm sure both are going to enjoy being the bells of the ball in County. Looks like the dumber looking one already has his formal affair make-up on and the bob on the other, well there will many wanting to tap that.
