Michelle Obama to visit Chicago high school tomorrow

First Lady Michelle Obama will in Chicago tomorrow to talk with the business leaders, urging them to invest in the city’s youth and will also make a stop at a high school.

Mrs. Obama will visit Harper High School in the West Englewood neighborhood, a school in which nearly 30 current or former students have been shot, 8 fatally.  She will meet with a small group of students and counselors to hear firsthand about their experiences, according to a statement from the White House.

Mayor Emanuel will host the first even at the Hilton Hotel on South Michigan Ave.  Members of the Commercial Club, the Economic Club, the Executives’ Club, and World Business Chicago are expected to attend.

Is there going to any discussion about the gang killings, rapes, attacks, etc., on the CHicago public??? Anything about the folks attacked on Mich Ave a couple of weekends ago? Any conversation on bringing in the National Guard? State Police? Outside agencies to get the gangs locked up and put away? If the answer is NO – then her visit is a waste of time….and another 'smoke and mirrors' action by the politicians to make people think that their welfare is a concern to them….smoke and mirrors!

She could have sent a video speech instead of going herself and given the school the $250,000 her not going would have saved. A Quarter of a Million dollars will go a long way to stop the gangs at the school.
