Man in critical condition after Evanston apartment fire

A fire broke out in a three-story apartment building in Evanston sending one man to the hospital.

It happened late Sunday night, on the 700 block of Noyes Street.

Firefighters rescued a 56-year-old man who was badly burned.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The fire was quickly put out.

No other injuries were reported.
