Wrigley Field renovation deal expected by Monday’s opener
A spokesperson for the Ricketts family, who own the Cubs, say a deal is close on the proposed $500 million renovations to Wrigley Field.
Wrigleyville Alderman Tom Tunney told the Tribune, he’s ready to agree to let the Cubs put up a jumbotron screen in the outfield, even if it blocks the view of some neighboring rooftop clubs.
He still wants assurances the Cubs will provide additional parking, and pay for neighborhood security, if they add more night games.
The mayor’s office won’t talk about the negotiations.
