Wheelchair racers set to debut, inspire at Shamrock Shuffle

Simply inspiring. It’s the best way to describe 30-year-old Adam Finney.

He’ll be at the start line at this Sunday’s Shamrock Shuffle – an 8k race so popular it rivals the Chicago Marathon with 40,000 participants. This year is a first for the shuffle – the event has added a new category of racers.

And if you’re looking for a little inspiration, you’ll want to check them out — wheelchair racers. They’ll be the first out of the gate at exactly 8:28 am at Monroe and Columbus in Grant Park

Since when does the Shuffle "rival" the marathon? It's a smaller race, on all accounts. Please check your facts.

She was referring to the number of participants.
