Blackhawks Game Notes For Monday vs. Nashville


* The Preds were blanked, 1-0, in Colorado on Saturday and have now been shut out six times overall in 2012-13 – tied with the Coyotes for most of any NHL club. Nashville is just 6-10-2 in its last 18 tilts (2nd worst in the West since February 22).
* Chicago throttled Detroit, 7-1, yesterday and has now netted five or more goals nine times this season – tied with the Penguins for most in the league. The Blackhawks are 5-5-0 in their last 10 contests.
* The Blackhawks won the only meeting of the season with the Predators, 3-0, on February 10. Four of Chicago’s last 14 games in 2012-13 will come against Nashville.
* Including two straight victories, Pekka Rinne is 2-1-1 with a 2.24 GAA and .922 save percentage in four career regular-season starts vs. the Blackhawks at United Center. Rinne has an NHL-high five shutouts in 2012-13.
* Brandon Saad had two goals and a helper yesterday, garnering first-star accolades for his performance. Saad has 16 points (3g, 13a) in his last 15 games after scoring just three points (all goals) in his first 18 skates of 2012-13.
* Corey Crawford is 2-3-0 with a 2.97 GAA and .883 save percentage in five career home starts vs. the Predators.
