Man critically wounded in police-involved shooting
A man was shot by Chicago police Friday afternoon after, they say, he pointed a gun at them.
Area South detectives heard shots near 95th and Jeffery around 3 p.m.
They radioed for help and followed three people who were running away.
Police caught one man, and continued to chase another. When they ordered him to drop his gun, they say he turned and appeared as if he would shoot and police opened fire.
The man was hit and is hospitalized in critical condition.
Police are still looking for the third suspect.
