Villa Park candidate apologizes for sex photos
Residents of Villa Park are sharing their opinions about a scandal affecting a candidate for village president.
John Heidelmeier was busted for having revealing photos of himself on the sex website, “Call Conny.”
“Shocking. I wouldn’t expect that from him,” said Villa Park resident Bill Arpp.
WGN reporter Tonya Francisco went to his home Thursday morning, but no one answered the front door.
Heidelmeier insists he will remain in the race. He emphasizes he didn’t do anything illegal, and his actions won’t impact his ability to serve as Village President.
He used to be the village’s police chief. He served on the police department for 23 years.
He’s running against one of his harshest critics on the village board that pushed him to retire.
The election will take place on April 9.
