Police issue alert after attempted abduction on South Side

This alert gives notice to residents of the 8th District (Chicago Lawn) on Beat 831 of a kidnapping incident that occurred on the 6600 block of S. California Ave. on March 21, 2013, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

In the reported incident, the offenders covered the eyes of a 15-year-old female and carried her to their car.

The offenders then drove to a nearby alley.

The victim was able to escape before she was further harmed.

Police are warning parents on the South Side after a teenage girl was almost kidnapped.

It happened a week ago in the 6600 block of South California Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

Two men grabbed a 15-year-old girl and carried her to a nearby car.

They then drove her to an alley where she managed to escape unharmed.

Police have only released vague decsriptions of the suspects.

They were believed to be driving a black or green four-door sedan in poor condition.

      You're right – – but the problem is : What will happen to these idiots when/if they are caught? Slap on the wrist? Community service?? Are we going to have to hear about their 'awful' childhoods? How they were abused as kids? Quite frankly – I don't give a crap – – THEY ARE CRIMINALS!
