Lollapalooza 3-day passes sold out

Three-day passes for this summer’s Lollapalooza festival are already sold out after going on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A limited amount of Early Bird three-day passes were sold for $200 while regular priced three-day passes were sold for $235.

According to Lollapalooza’s website, VIP, Platinum and Travel Packages are still available for purchase. The website also says that the lineup will be announced on April 9, which is also the day that 1-Day passes to the music festival go on sale.

The Chicago Tribune’s Greg Kot confirmed that this year’s Grammy winners for best album  Mumford and Sons will be among Lollapalooza’s headliners.

Other headliners include Phoenix, Vampire Weekend and The Killers.

Lollapalooza takes place this year August 2-4 in Grant Park.

This same thing happened last year – 3days sold out immediately. The promoters sell fewer every year so the can make more on single day passes. And the masses buy them and continue to get ripped off by a festival that has deteriorated every year. I still like it but the whole scenario sorta pisses me off…

Doesn't help that most of these tickets were bought by scalper sites like this.
