Car falls 200 feet down ravine, girl survives
A girl who survived a car crash in Southern California is speaking out about her ordeal from her hospital bed.
Celia Renteria, 9, is able to walk just a day after the crash.
On Sunday, she was in the car with her dad when their vehicle veered off an embankment and fell 200 feet down a ravine.
Celia crawled out of the crumpled car and walked a mile in the dark to find help.
“I climbed out the window to a farmers house to see if someone was there,” she said. “I climbed the top of the mountain and was waving my hands and some girl found me and she called 911.”
Celia suffered minor injuries and her condition is improving.
Her father did not survive.
