More concerts, improvements slated for Northerly Island

Northerly Island will host bigger concerts and more of them beginning this summer.

Improvements are coming to the Charter One Pavilion.

It’ll have expanded seating and a lawn area large enough for 30-thousand fans.

The stage will be turned to the southeast to face that lawn.

“Live Nation” and the Chicago Park District have agreed to 8 concerts.

Phish and Jimmy Buffett are already booked for June.

How they gonna handle the tailgating that Phish and Jimmy Buffet fans demand? They ain’t gonna pay the $50 or $100 that bears fans pay for the tailgating lots.
