A Chicago man who was shot 20 years ago and left a quadriplegic has died.

His death is now being ruled a homicide.

Keith Cunningham, who was 36-years-old, died from sepsis on Friday.

It’s a complication he developed from the shooting.

Cunningham was 16-years-old when he was shot while sitting on a porch.

The Chicago Tribune talked to Cunningham’s mother, Maxine.

She says she had hoped one day police would tell her about an arrest.

That day never came.
