Study: Kids are getting too much salt

saltAmerican kids are getting too much salt — that’s according to a new study from the American Heart Association.

Researchers looked at more than 1,100 per-packaged snacks and meals targeted to toddlers and babies, like microwavable macaroni and pizza.

More than 75 percent of them had more sodium than recommended.

The USDA recommends toddler have no more than 1,500 milligrams of sodium a day.
