Department: News Department
Responsibilities: This internship is designed for a student who is interested in all aspects of the news. Working with the Midday News team, the duties include, but are not limited to: guest and show research, helping coordinate and book guest appearances, floor directing and updating the website. Interns may be called upon to field produce and will have an opportunity to shadow reporters in the field. Interns will also work closely with the segment producer, as well as show producers and executive producer. Mature and professional conduct expected.
Undergraduate (junior/senior standing) or graduate students attending an accredited college or university majoring in Broadcasting/Communications/Journalism or related field of study. Students must be able to obtain college credit for the internship experience (Internships are unpaid). Hours 8am-2pm 2/3 days per week.
