Suggestions on how to find a date:
Stop taking with your cell phone! Keep your head up and SMILE! A smile can bring on a conversation that may lead to a date!
Use the 80% rule. If a person you may meet for a fix up or online date, don’t expect the person to fit 100% of your criteria before you even meet them. 80% of your criteria is a good rule of thumb to just give someone a chance.
Spend time planning your social calendar before the weekend hits to try out new and interesting things and be willing to go to places by yourself where you will be forced to meet new people.

I would get yourself out there in places where you can meet people.
You won't meet anyone unless you get out there. Online dating is fine but don't limit options.

I agree, turn off your cellphone if you want to meet interesting people. That way you will have an impression of being interested to the person.
