Bulls analyst out after physical altercation

Kendall Gill, a Chicago Bulls analyst for Comcast SportsNet Chicago, has been removed from on-air duties after being involved in a physical altercation with Big Ten Network analyst Tim Doyle.

The incident occurred after a taping of “Sports Talk Live” in the Comcast SportsNet studio newsroom Tuesday night.

Sources told the Chicago Tribune that Gill confronted Doyle after the taping because of critical comments made by Doyle regarding Gill’s assessment of Monday night’s Bulls-Denver game; the game ended in a controversial call by the officials that wiped out a potential game-winning basket by Joakim Noah in overtime.

Gill, who starred at Illinois and had a long NBA career that included a brief stint with the Bulls, will be off the air at least temporarily while the matter is being investigated, according to a statement released Tuesday night by CSN Chicago news director Kevin Cross.

The Chicago Tribune contributed to this report.

I personally think Kendall Gill gives the best analysis on the Bulls with Mark Schonowski. I don't really
think he should be let go, we all make mistakes and maybe just maybe Me Doyle aggravated the whole situation to cause Gill to explode. Maybe Mr. Doyle has an agenda? Some personalities do clash.
Please don't through Mr. Gill out give him another chance, I do not care much for the person who is in
his place now, not articulate, not colorful on analysis and all around DULL! Is this what is replacing Mr.
Gill Oh! please NO!!!! Be a little forgiving and and don't tell me some of you have not wanted to punch
somebody in the nose! A life long BULLS FAN I'm rooting for Kendall Gill, I personally will not watch
the pre-game or post-game analysis if you keep that new guy on.
Thanks for the opportunity to vent my frustration.
    Sincerely,
    Kewpie
