The “shock and awe” attack that started the Iraq war happened ten years ago today; a decade later, there is more violence in Baghdad.
At least 50 people were killed this morning in a suicide blast and a series of car bombings; one of them happened in a market, another near the fortified Green Zone.
Sunni Muslims are targeting rival Shiites in an effort to sow sectarian tension and weaken Iraqis’ support for their government.
