A former associate pastor from Elmhurst is charged with sexual assault and abuse and is being held on $300,000 dollars.
41-year-old Darin Evans is accused of attacking an underage girl between 2004 and 2011.
He used to work for the West Suburban Community Church.
He allegedly assaulted the girl in his vehicle, public places, and even on a church-sponsored youth retreat.
The victim reported the abuse to Elmhurst police last month, and Evans turned himself in yesterday.

Won’t get much play because he isn’t Catholic!

These types of stories never surprise me. Again, it just shows that being a man of the cloth doesn't make them holier than thou. The strongest "Christians" are sometimes the biggest sinners.

They are not the strongest if they are the biggest sinners Cathy.

And I have Christians trying to tell me I am the one who needs to find god to be a good person…HAHAHAHA… I am an atheist and would never dream of doing some of the things Christian pastors and priests get convicted of. Maybe if he spent less time praying to the invisible spaghetti monster in the sky and more time down here in actually reality this guy wouldn't be such a giant POS. Have fun in prison…rapist pastor.

Can anyone EVER post a comment without being totally ignorant?
Catholics have more pedifiles and victims than any other religion, however, this should get just as much media attention!
Not all Christ followers are hypocrites, so stop giving yourself the excuse for not believing in God.
We are ALL sinners, no matter what religion we are, no matter if we are atheists or agnostics. If you call yourself a human being, you are a sinner.
