A suspect is in custody, accused of stabbing a Metra police sergeant at Union Station.

The incident happened around 5:30 Saturday night.

Police say the sergeant was stabbed three times while trying to break up a fight outside a McDonald’s in the station’s upper level.

He was hospitalized in good condition.

The suspect is charged with felony assault on police.
