Lake County sheriff’s police say a barricade situation is now over in far north suburban Antioch.
Police were called to the area of Beach Grove Road and West Lake Avenue, just after 7:30 a.m. Friday morning, for an injured person.
They found a woman who had been stabbed. She was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Police responded to someone holed up in a structure in the area connected to that murder.
A short time ago, sheriff’s officer entered the building and found the suspect dead in an apparent suicide.
A suicide note was also found on the scene.
More details as they become available.

These bastards always have to kill others before killing themselves! If you're going to kill yourself anyway, do everyone a blessing and get it over with! The only upside to this is no wasted tax payers money having to hunt the killer then prosecute him.
